Framed by lake and mountain, this home is designed as a place to retreat. Deep walnut tones, layered stone and soft ambient light create a sense of warmth against the wild landscape beyond. A space to gather, to pause, and to exhale at the end of the day.

For our Australian clients, the brief was to create an immersive holiday home - one that feels embedded within the landscape rather than placed upon it. They were drawn to a sense of theatre and quiet drama, wanting the experience of being in the home to feel sensory and enveloping. Through rich materiality, controlled lighting and a layered, tonal palette, we crafted a retreat that heightens the surrounding alpine backdrop while offering warmth and intimacy within.
